At around 1:50 Bloomberg fumbles the words as “First Amendment Whites”. What he’s talking about are the two goons sitting behind him.
What he does not address in this speech is how they kept the PRESS out. His statement thus far is that he was “Protecting the press” by keeping them out. I wonder what other constitutional amendments Bloomberg would like to “Protect us from”.
Furthermore, the protesters were not able to remove their belongings in a timely and peaceful fashion before the NYPD started destroying them. Not only did the NYPD start tossing tents, computers, backpacks, medication and other goods into dumpsters, but as I watched the live feed at 3 am, I saw them laughing, giving each other hi-fives, and gloating as they through trash on top.
